More details about us DesignDLS Plastics Ltd. has been particularly successful in turning a loose concept or rough idea into a real product to the delight of our customers. Using our own design staff and CAD software together with sub-contracted expertise where necessary we are able to provide 3D models and sketches to customers. Following this we can construct prototype models for final approval and move quickly to toolmaking. Drawing on years of experience and new skills we have a range of approaches to solving a customer problem. Some of our most successful projects are those that involve a simple but cleverly designed component that is easy to install, unobtrusive but offers a dramatic improvement to our customers product or assembly process. As such our products offer outstanding value for money. We are constantly upgrading our systems with investment in 2D, 3D and CNC software. This enables us to model and construct complex radial shapes that would otherwise be impossible to make. Using our expertise in mould design is essential to ensure that despite increasingly complex products the tool is constructed in the least complex manner, saving time and money. EngineeringOur tool making capability is a major asset that offers our customers a complete service. We have made consistent investment in new technology both hardware and software to ensure that we are able to construct almost any tool design. In particular our CNC milling and lathe equipment offers us enormous flexibility and productivity gains. Combining this equipment with our skilled operators means we have the capability to create truly outstanding workmanship. With design and engineering working so close to one another we are able to co-ordinate the tooling work with design changes. This provides a valuable opportunity to compress development times when necessary and reschedule effort to ensure our customers get what they want. Production and MouldingDLS Plastics Ltd. has a range of plastic injection moulding machines ranging in capacity from small to medium size. Alongside these machines there are a range of ancillary items used for gas injection techniques, foiling and other secondary processes together with sorting and measuring equipment. We ensure that we maintain a slight excess capacity to ensure that we can respond to diverse customer demands and utilise sub contractor trade moulders where necessary. Tools are constructed in such a way that they can be swapped quickly and efficiently. In addition care is taken during the design process to ensure that a minimum amount of post processing is required. Warehouse and DistributionWe maintain a stock level of most of our fast moving products in order that we can respond to urgent requirements from our customers. Our aim is to manage our production and stocks efficiently relying on productive flexibility to keep stocks low. We have sophisticated stock management software to assist with this process. In addition to our own products we are able to supply a range of other items, in the main plastic extruded products and metal fixings, to our customers. In this way we can provide a complete service and take away some of the hassle of sourcing from multiple suppliers. In some cases we are packing or assembling products to meet a different sort of customer problem. In addition to our own delivery vans we use parcel delivery services to get our products to a customer within a defined time period. A range of options are available from overnight to 3day delivery.
